About MNIG

MNIG

NanoMalaysia Group ideated the concept of “Malaysia Nanotechnology Industrial Group (MNIG)” back in 2014 and translated it into the National Nanotechnology Policy and Strategy (DSNN) 2021-2030 to call for the formation of a nanotechnology industrial group run by industry players. This has led to the launching of “Malaysia Nanotechnology Industrial Group (MNIG)” at Nano Kebangsaan Malaysia (NANOKEB 2022) 9th September 2022 after long preparations.

On 17th February 2023, a committee comprised of industry leaders and entrepreneurs – a potent mix of people both in academia and private sector business who are passionate about nanotechnology and have built up a long working relationship with NanoMalaysia Berhad has formed. As such, MNIG is designed to complement NanoMalaysia’s on-going effort to re-develop Malaysia’s industry powered by nanotechnology solutions, and focus on four (4) key strategic sectors identified as providing the greatest potential for value creation and profitability, i.e., Electronic Devices & Systems; Food & Agriculture; Energy & Environment; and Wellness, Medical & Healthcare.

MNIG is a well-integrated business community that operate as a neutral, independent industry platform creating voice for nanotechnology development that provides core regulatory support, networking and promotional support for all members. MNIG and its Members are committed to the formation of sustainable collaborative networks in strategic areas that will be led by industry through strategic partnership. We work towards enabling Malaysian industries to incorporate rich nano-based knowledge content into their products and services, making Malaysia a knowledge-hub and draw global talent into our innovation ecosystem.
